About the class

There are different forms of yoga that I teach depending on the class structure and individual requirements. Some of them are Hatha, Vinyasa, Hatha vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, Restorative, Pre-natal, Yoga for senior citizens, Yoga with props, Recovery yoga, Yoga for sports/athletes, Yoga for kids.

The classes typically start with breathing exercises (Pranayama), followed by a short warm up. Then slowly moving into Surya namaskaras and asana practice and ends with a guided shavasana (meditation). There are sessions where we do 108 or 54 sun salutations at a stretch. Each class is different and unique and tailored to work on different parts of the body ranging from hip openers, twists, backbends, inversions, chakra balancing to heart openers.

The different breathing techniques are Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, Nadi Shuddhi, Bhramari, Bhastrika, Box breathing, Shitli, Shitkari, Ujjayi, Sinhasana and a few more. We also work on kriyas such as Jalaneti, Nauli, Trataka, Dhauti, & Shankh Prakshalana.

There are three main bandhas, or energetic locks, that run along your spinal column (Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara), two minor bandhas at your hands and feet (Hasta and Pada), and a combo of the three main bandhas called Maha Bandha. We also work on engaging the bandhas in the long run.

Along with group & private sessions, I also take Corporate Sessions - online and on-site. I have worked with many corporates such as Abbott, Adobe, HPE, TATA AIG, Infosys, Baekart, Prudent, Crayon Data, Carlsberg, Amway, Beetel, Medline, Inspirit, KPI to name a few. Maximum number of students being 2000 in a session. I'm very comfortable with taking classes for a large number of students . We use online platforms like Webex, Teams, Zoom, Meet, Gotomeeting etc.

I organise Yoga Retreats twice or thrice a year where we tailor an exclusive and soulful experience for the students from every part of the world.
